Oh teenage ways of yore! The way of the dinosaur! The land of empty promises!
So, yeah… these are my old websites. They probably need to be replaced or revamped (… or trashed), they may or may not be updated anymore, sad story sad story etc, but somehow I just can’t or won’t get rid of them.
parallax photo dump
This used to be my photo site, but something is going to happen with this, and it’s probably going to be that it mysteriously disappears into the night, never to be heard from again.. It’s not even really that I hate my old stuff that much. The site is a pain to maintain because it isn’t based on a server-side archive. Plus for various reasons the quality of some of these is awful. And the name is stupid.
aftershock old layouts
I’ve been making websites since 1999, so that means I’ve made a lot of layouts. Right now this is basically just a list and a picture of all of them (sometimes even some irritating comments written by 14-year-old me that 17-year-old me was really, really attached to and couldn’t bare to throw away) (jaded, 20-something me has lost her sweet and naive sense of nostalgia and just says TRASH THAT SHIT), but I plan on revamping it soon in some way, although it may not be in this format anymore.
valkyrie rinoa from final fantasy viii
Rinoa is the leading female character in Squaresoft’s Final Fantasy VIII. I loved her when I was a preteen and created this shrine in July of 2000. This site is “currently” being overhauled, mostly for layout, but the written content is being tweaked as well (since, as you can probably guess, things can get nasty over a life of 10 years) as well as the site backend for my own personal practice (even though nobody cares about that but me). It’s going to look great but who knows if I’ll ever finish writing it. I do still like Rinoa, though.
redemption irvine from final fantasy viii
This shrine has been closed for a while because I had the intention of re-doing all of the content, but I’m such a perfectionist that every time I try to sit down and do it I want to re-write everything, and unfortunately I don’t have the time or patience for that anymore. So this is mostly a placeholder for now. But I can’t give the idea of it up because Irvine is, in a word, hilarious.

The basic premise of Fooly Cooly: the main character, a sixth grader named Nandaba Naota, gets whacked in the head with a bass guitar by an alien woman named Haruko, then robots start coming out of his head. Eri (referred to only as ‘Ninamori’ by her distanced classmates) bears the burden of being the mayor’s daughter, the class president, and one of the several girls romantically entertwined with Naota. Covering her troubles with a mature facade, Ninamori must confront some less than perfect things about herself after smacking heads with Naota, both literally while waiting for the subway and figuratively regarding Naota’s role in the upcoming class play. This was a random project (I actually like Mamimi quite a bit more than Ninamori). Look out for my Japanese culture mistakes. They’re there.
