From the Outside
The first time we see Ninamori is in episode one, the day after Naota has been whacked on the face with Haruko's guitar. A.. thing has begun to protrude from his forehead, and he has to wear a bandage to keep it covered. He's sitting in class when Ninamori starts to harass him about the bandaid, and smugly tells him that it looks weird.. And that he must be hiding something. He tells her not to act like such a brat. Then two of his other classmates (Gaku and Masashi - but since I get them mixed up and can't remember their names too well, I hope you don't mind if from here on out I just call them Fatlips and Glasses.. And if you do, well, TOO BAD :P) tell him a rumor about the "Vespa Woman," a girl with a bike and a guitar who "stings" boys who do naughty things and leaves a mark that never goes away.. Of course, this would be Haruko, and part of the story is more than just a rumor, but.. Anyway, after the story has been told, Ninamori again asks Naota what exactly it is on his forehead, so that everyone else thinks he's been "stung" for being a pervert.

Her next appearance is at the beginning of episode two. Mamimi has decided to pay a visit to Naota after school. Ninamori, who's standing nearby with Glasses and Fatlips, looks incredibly bored.. and maybe a little ticked off. She asks who Mamimi is ("Naota's wife") and if she and Naota are dating. She remarks that Mamimi doesn't look very bright.. and after a couple more seconds of observation, lays down the final judgement that Mamimi is "so not cool."

Later in the same episode, Ninamori, Naota, Fatlips, and Glasses are investigating the scene of a recent fire by the river when they see Mamimi. She has apparently been bullied by some other kids from her school; she's been thrown into the river and she's all wet. Ninamori says that "at that age, it's really pathetic."

And so, from these mere seconds of screentime, we are to understand that:
- Ninamori has a rather obvious preoccupation with Naota. Teasing him about his bandaid, asking if Mamimi is his girlfriend... And then proceeding to insult her after Fatlips and Glasses call her "Naota's wife."
- She's very concerned with appearances, and she's also judgemental. She has insulted Naota for the bandaid on his forehead ("so bizarre"), and after just a couple of seconds of watching Mamimi haphazardly trying to look at Naota's head, decided that she's not very smart.. and not "cool."
- She seems pretty stuck-up. Mostly all she's done is torment Naota and pass judgements on him as well as Mamimi. Naota also calls her a brat. She can be pretty condescending but based on her own behavior, she's not much more mature than anyone else.
- So far, she looks like an immature snob who thinks she's more mature than anyone else.. when, in fact, her judgements of everyone around her point to her own immaturity.
