Introduction
Ninamori Eri (usually just called Ninamori by everyone around her) is a semi-major character from Gainax's anime masterpiece FLCL. A six-part OAV, the anime centers around Nandaba Naota, a sixth-grade boy struggling to grow up. One day he's simply hanging out by a bridge with his older brother's (ex)girlfriend Samejima Mamimi (sharing a dreaded SOUR drink) when he gets run over by - enter Haruhara Haruko - a psychotic woman riding a vespa. Haruko proceeds to smack him on the head with a guitar so that random robots start popping out of his head. We later find out that Haruko is an alien who has ventured into Naota's hometown of Mabase to free Atomsk, the legendary "pirate king," from a factory in the city that produces medical machines. Supposedly. And she needs Naota's head to do it. So along the way Naota ends up fighting giant robots and saving Mabase several times. And of course he ends up falling in love with Haruko and, throughout the entire process, learns some things about growing up. While this might sound normal enough.. Watch just five minutes of FLCL and you'll see it's not your ordinary anime. It's full of random, hyperactive humor, tons of symbolism, and a lot of things that are just... weird.

But I digress. Hopefully you've gotten the picture by now, but FLCL is not your ordinary anime, and the characters within it aren't your typical cliche anime characters.

Ninamori Eri is the mayor of Mabase's daughter and a classmate of Naota's. She's the class president and has been cast as the lead in the upcoming school play, Puss and Boots. She seems like your regular spoiled rich girl; a little bit of a snob and a brat; a little bit of an overbearing contol freak; and (most importantly) too straightlaced or "grown up" for her own good. However, when her father becomes involved in a public scandal, we see there's more to her than meets the eye.. A lot more.
